Due
to uncalibrated and unleveled autio streams
caused by poor engineering practices, many
audio streams on EchoLink are either too
"hot" or too "soft"
making for frustrating listening experience.
To reduce listener fatigue, ADDITIONAL
hardware used in conjunction to the EchoLink
setup to process and "level" audio
inconsistencies coming from the audio stream.
EchoLink does NOT have this leveling function
so this is a work-around to the numberous
issues of poor audio levels on EchoLink..
Analog audio processing hardware helps
elleviate listern fatigue and the frustration
of volume adjustment during the connection
experience.
Input levels AND outpout levels into the
EchoLink audio stream are processed in this
station's configuration.
